| How do I become a member of the East Bethel Royalty? |

| Each spring the East Bethel Royalty start looking for dedicated young women and girls to become the newest members of our group. We go to schools and put information in the local newspapers about our program. In July, in cooperation with East Bethel Booster day, we crown a Little Miss, Princess, and Miss East Bethel. We have a candidate program that starts in June and includes rehearsal, sleepover, parades, and new fun events that we will be debuting in June 2009. What do I get if I become a candidate? Our program will help young women learn skills that they will need in the future. We provide training on Public Speaking, Interviewing, Make-up, and Etiquette. These are skills that will be beneficial long after the candidate process is over. Lasting Memories. Being a candidate is a fun way for you and a friend to spend time together for two months in the summer and there is always the chance that you could spend the whole year together as royalty. You will also get to be in the Isanti and East Bethel parades as a candidate and attend the Isanti Ambassador pageant. What will I need as a candidate? 1) $25 candidate fee to hold your spot this will cover the cost of a t-shirt and candidate sash 2) A sponsor to cover the cost of sponsorship. For Miss East Bethel the cost is $125 and for Little Miss is $60. Your sponsor can be any business or person who wants to sponsor you. If you have difficulties finding a sponsor, let us know and we will help you find one. 3) Formal Dress. Good place to find a formal dress is Deb or any other store at their after prom sales. Do not spend a fortune on a dress. You are not judged on the clothes that you wear. Little Miss candidates will also need a formal dress. Look for a flower girl, 1st communion, or pageant dress. 4) Parade dress. This dress can be any dress that you would wear to church or some other semi-formal gathering. 5) Interview outfit. This is any type of outfit that you would wear at a job interview. Requirements for Miss East Bethel and Princess candidates: 1) Be between the ages of 16-21. 2) Either live or work in East Bethel or attend school in either the St. Francis or Forest Lake School Districts 3) Be willing to attend rehearsals and other candidate events. 4) A sponsor Requirements for Little Miss East Bethel Candidates: 1) Be in either the 1st or 2nd grade 2) Either live in East Bethel or attend school in the St. Francis School District #15 3) Be willing to attend rehearsals and other candidate events. 4) A sponsor What do I get if I become royalty? -Crown and sash to keep -Dress Allowance -College scholarship or savings bond -Travel all over Minnesota -Volunteer hours within the community of East Bethel -Your picture in the local newspapers monthly -Meet new people from all around MN and networking opportunities -Miss East Bethel also gets the opportunity to continue on an compete at the Minneapolis Aquatennial Queen of the Lakes Program (if age appropriate). -Please see the page of photos of all of the events we do each year.
